Okay.

I bought a copy of the Disney Snow White DVD off of eBay because I'd heard really good stuff about the special features and documentaries in the set and because Disney only made a limited number of those DVDs and I couldn't buy it anywhere else. So, I choose your basic "Buy-It-Now" option and pay with PayPal immediately after.

I got the DVD a couple days ago. It is as advertised and last night I was going to leave positive feedback even though the bastard overcharged me on shipping. I got a good deal, I'm not that worried about a fiver, ya know?

Only what do I find?

" the french don't like to pay"

.

..

..

WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?!

Motherfucker, I have the receipt and live 5 hours away! French?! WTF?! Who says that?! Why would you have sent it to me in the first place, dumbass?! FUCK! "The french don't like to pay." Huh?! You don't say stupid shit like that to someone from the state known for fried chicken and FEUDS!

AAARGH!

After coming to terms with the sheer stupidity of that statement, I sent polite messages and emails with copies of the receipt and a call for civility. I didn't even mention I still had his address from the packaging, the dumb fuck.

Oy.

FINALLY

After about, oh, three weeks, I finally got payment for a lot of comics I sold on eBay. Ordinairily I would've just dropped it and relisted, but I got a pretty good price for them and I try to be understanding about things if something's come up suddenly (as has happened to me a time or two). But in this case the lady in question claimed to have sent an $80 money order but readily paid me via Paypal since it hasn't shown up yet. Yeah, right. Pull the other one, lady. It's got bells on.

*sigh*

In other news, I've finally managed to get some layouts done and finished the inks on one of the strips. Thankfully I'm off most of tomorrow night so I can tidy up the strip and add tones and letters. Muy fun.

Interestingly enough, I've found my illustration getting simpler and simpler, approaching cartoony, but not quite. Yay for Bruce Timm influences.

On a completely unrelated note... I need more LJ Icons...

Not much really going on right now.  I've been selling a boatload of Japanese comics on the eBay.  Hopefully it'll end up netting about $200.  Which is great because we owe the mother-in-law $500 because the Monte Carlo (which we admittedly bought from the in-laws) blew the gawddamned alternator and the cost of having that shit replaced in Lexington is apparently $250 more than in Indianapolis (and the low-ball price was from Pep Boys, a chain ferchrissakes!).  Luckily I've managed to accumulate a lot of crap over the years that can be sold in large lots.  For example, I'm selling all of my Blade of the Immortal books, all the Kareshi Kano no Jijou, all the HotGimmick and all of the Fruits Basket stuff.  Which is good because I don't really read most of them anymore and they have good resale value as a large set.

And now Lois Lane )
