First off, anyone who hasn't read
Yotsuba&!
is my enemy of freedom and should be subject to horrible torture up to
and including Bolgarian Nipple Torture. There's just something
about a 4-year-old running around seeking vengeance with a water pistol
that I find hilarious. HILARIOUS, you philistines!
( Also, here's the finished sampling of The Anticraft thingy I did )
I didn't get as much done over the weekend as I would have liked as far
as writing or drawing are concerned. I did get the inks for
( Page 4 )
( and Page 5 ) completed, though. That was nice, particularly
how page 5 came out. Can't wait to add the tones and word
balloons to
that one.
On the February project front... I've been kinda dragging my feet
on it, but I think I'm going to go with an idea I've tinkered with on
and off for a while involving Greek mythology. I know, I just
love to nerd it up. It would revolve around pretty much my
favorite figure from that pantheon, Hephaestus (Vulcan to the Romans),
and his step-son Eros (Cupid) trying to get Heph and his estranged
wife, Aphrodite (Venus) back together. The reason I'd never done
much with the project is because there really wasn't a way to get them
together without really savaging the character of one or the
other.
But, leave to Shakespeare to give me ideas, particularly
Much Ado About Nothing.
I've read the play and seen the movie, and it's quite fun. Might
rent it over the weekend so The Wif and I can watch it together.
Valentine's Day is coming up, as well as her birthday, AND SHE STILL
HASN'T DECIDED WHAT SHE WANTS.
