On Anansi Boys...

Well, as per usual, once I've started a book I'm really into... I cannot rest until I've finished. And here I am, 7am after just finishing Anansi Boys. I really liked it. I mean, I'm a sucker for mythology and folklore as it is, so anytime I can read some sort of extrapolation thereof, I'm always pleased.
I mean, I could kinda see the "surprise reveal" coming early on, but hey, I'm purty smart. The peg game at CrackerBarrell told me so. (It should be mentioned it also called me an EG-NO-RE-MUS once.) Have to say, though, I don't know whether it was novel size or because it tapped into my Norse mythology geek, but I liked American Gods a little bit better. Eh, I like what I like.
In other news, I finally found a showing of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington that I could record on the ol' VCR (how anachronistic, I know!) so that will be fun to go through tonight while Ne's at her Kitters' Conspiracy meeting.
