This whole week's been something of a blur. Spent a lot of fun-time with Little Dude over the weekend and dropped him off with mi madre this on Wednesday. He was... a bit grumpy at having his nap interrupted, but he always gets a kick out of riding in the truck. The truck, mind you, is a large red behemoth that's only recently gotten a new exhaust system. Kid loves riding in it, preferring it all other methods of transportation. Of course, it also lets him see the outside world from his car seat better, so who can blame him, really?
And of course the visitation of the family was nice. I also learned what my father-in-law said before mine and![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
ne_today's wedding. Apparently, while Ne's grandmother and grandfather and cousins and acquaintances were showering me with threats, Larry was telling my mom that I was a smartass and that he was glad his daughter decided to settle down with someone smarter than her. Ah, family. Gotta love it. ^_^
While we have been child free for the past couple days, the Wif and I have agreed to turn our attention back to a project left shelved a while back. Namely, the idea of "karma brokers" that I'm sure I've mentioned before. She's planning on writing a novel (perhaps even *gasp!* a trilogy!) about her take on it, and I'm steadily picking my way towards forming a graphic novel on the subject. I've already got a decent grasp on the main character (finally... god I'm slow), and I'm picking at the rest of the pieces.
Speaking of graphic storytelling (because calling it "comics" is oh-so un-elite), I'm thinking of actually attending this coming week's Lexington, KY Comic Creators' Group. If I'm not too swamped this weekend, I'd like to scan in the rest of my Snow White and Rose Red pages and add panel borders and dialog so I can have something to show off on Tuesday. Hell, if I can get them all scanned in, I might as well start a deviantArt account and load them online. Inefficient, but at least accessible.
Ugh, and in the future, I will endeavor to update this damn thing more frequently as when I DO update after over a week, said update approaches nigh insane levels of length.
