Argh.
Well, another November, another mad dash to bang out a 50,000 word novel in thirty days. Three days in and I'm already about a thousand words behind. About what I averaged last year, really, though the shift in my sleeping schedule may well spell doom (D-O-O-M!) for my productivity.
Funny thing, though. It turns out that I'm even more inclined to sketch something out or doodle now that I'm writing again. Procrastinate? Me?! Puh-shaw!

Little Man's been croupy and coughing up a storm, unfortunately. Thankfully it hasn't been that big of a deal for him to miss a couple days of pre-school. And hey, he's been pissing in the toilet more often, which is always great. Mom has been asking when she can keep him for the weekend next. It's still a mystery to me how she can stand to have so many kids around after giving birth to four, raising three, gaining one by marriage, and now having, er, something like five grandkids. She's missing vertebrae, people! Yeesh!
Oh well, I won't question it since it's nice to have weekend alone sometimes.
In other news, it looks like work activity will be picking up, especially if we get the massive account that's begging us to run it. Busy == continued employment, which is good. Probably not as good as winning the lottery, but I'll take what I can get.
Also, I can look forward to having some of my art published as I ride
ne_today's coattails with her super-fab book deal.
And I'm still straddling the fence on what to name and where to get a new personal website up and running. I've got all the pages of my 24-hour comic scanned, but I'd rather not host it on devArt since they take a crapload of reproduction rights. I know it's mostly so they cover their asses due to the nature of viewing content on the InterWebz, but still... Also, since I started doing roughs and lightboxing Little Dude's newsbook pictures, they're coming out rather cleaner.
Hmm... I smell cheap and easy Christmas presents...
